Disposable, latex gloves are ideal to be used as a barrier measure to prevent the spread of disease and keeping hands clean. Excellent when handling a queen.
Having tried various gloves, powdered latex is easy to put on, comfortable to wear allowing good sensitivity, reducing bees from being squashed.
Although thin, bees are unlikely to sting latex as it is unnatural for them to do so. These can also be worn over existing leather gloves to keep them clean from sticky propolis. Leather gloves may contain many old bee stings and smells that will aggravate the bees.
